Part 1 : Email/Letter - Task 1

You have received a letter from your friend, Kathy. In her letter, Kathy said that she was really pleased with the idea of studying together one day next week at her house. She suggested having something to eat before studying. Write a letter to your friend and you should:

• Tell Kathy that you want her to cook something or just get some ready –made food
• Tell her what you want her to prepare (Ex: a laptop connected with a printer, some references or something else)
• Inform her when you will come

Part 1 : Email/Letter - Task 2

You have just bought some new clothes. Write an email to your friend, Catherine. In your email, you should

• Tell Catherine what clothes you have bought
• Say where you bought the clothes from
• Explain why you needed to by these clothes.

1. Some people say that it is important to keep your workplace tidy with everything organised and eye - catching. However, others believe that what you need is to set your goals in work and how to achieve them instead of cleaning and decorating the office.

          What is your opinion about this statement?

      2. Some people prefer to have their meals from food stands and restaurants while others                prefer home-cooked meals. What is your opinion?

      3. Do you prefer studying individually or in a group?
